FithOps™ Camp Safe™ 12 Gauge Perimeter Trip / RESCUE Alarm*

Our newest, updated version of our 12 gauge perimeter trip alarm. Made of 6061 Aluminum, this unit utilizes a spring-loaded firing mechanism and a trip trigger. When the trigger pin is disturbed while loaded with a 12 gauge Orion rounds, the unit will discharge. This device is compatible with Orion blanks, .22 cal & 209 adapters, Orion 12 ga. flares and Orion Pest Scare.

You can now use our famous Perimeter Trip Alarm as a flare launcher, while also having the same trip alarm functionality. Use it as a backup or save space by completely removing your flare launcher from your kit.

This device is designed using Orion products and .22 cal / 209 adapters Only.

Never use 12 gauge hulls with brass. They mushroom out making it difficult to remove. There is also a small chance of metal hitting skin or eyes if launching from hand. NEVER set up as a trip alarm with Aerial Flares.

The Gen 4Fith OPS 12 Gauge set up is the shit much easier to put the shell in a lock it in place an I bought the .22 cal an 209 primer Adapters very nice functional set up!

Practice, test, and explore

I just spent two nights off grid with no cell service in the Texas Hill Country. I set up my Fith Ops 12 gage Gen4 using the shotgun primer option. I got to test it since there was no one around and it was as loud as I think will ever need. The quality and reliability of this tool is very good. The catch comes with doing the setup. How well this works depends upon user ingenuity and available resources. For example it will be very easy to set up an alarm across a wooden staircase with just a couple of screws and a bit of string. However, if you have nothing around you but rocks, setup can be a bit more challenging. Next time I plan to carry some sort of pole I can use in case there are no trees or other things at an appropriate height to tie too. Also, I found in my second setup that I needed to hang my trip wire in a manner that was very tight. There was far too much tension on the line to attach the alarm directly, so I ran a short second line from the trip wire to the alarm. This works, but is more tricky and I found my initial attempt with the second line looked great, but didn't work at all. Testing on the more complicated setups is definitely needed. Will the alarm work? That's up to you, but the tool itself I feel is solid and reliable. I travel a lot, and this will be part of my regular setup.
