Infrared Perimeter Silent Alarm

This thing really puts out the light. I have a Gen 3+ NVD and in my living room it was so bright that I needed to use my safety cap when I tripped the unit and tried to rearm it. Outside I checked it at 50 yards and it was crazy bright. I would hate to wonder up and trip one of these if I had NODS as I think it would throw enough bright light out to temporarily stop or confuse you. I have a ton of 5th Ops perimeter devices and this was definitely a good addition to my ops package.

They are in place and nothing has tripped them yet. I guess that’s good news.

Just got these today and experimented... the plastic casing feels softer than a soda bottle, and when they say “weather resistant” they do NOT mean waterproof. 🤨

I feel as if this could be so much better a product if they just improved the plastic tubing quality... it certainly was visible under NOD’s...

When tested indoors, in a dark room, the strobing effect was very disorienting could possibly double as a blinding device to those with NODs indoors. Think “flashbang” except just “flash”...

When taking the insert out to install the 9-volt battery, you must be careful installing it back since the insert must align exactly with the plastic hole for the trip cord.

Make sure if you install this somewhere, you can keep it out of the rain mostly.
