12-Gauge High Performance Red Aerial Signal

5 12-Gauge HP Red Aerial Flares – USCG Approved day or nighttime signal. Altitude up to 500 feet, brightness up to 16,000 candela, burn time up to 7 seconds each.

Contains important safety warnings, use, storage, and inspection instructions for the Orion signal launcher and flares (aerial and handheld). Please read enclosed Safety Manual carefully before using or storing signaling products and retain for future reference.

WARNINGS / CAUTIONS
  • Aerial and handheld flares are for outdoor emergency signaling only. These are not toys, misuse can result in death/serious injury. Signal launchers launch burning flares at high velocity. Handheld flares produce hot flame and/or dense smoke.
  • Keep out of reach of children. Keep away from heat, sparks, and open flames.
  • Never point a launcher at a person, animal, or anything flammable.
  • Never store or carry launcher loaded. Do not load the launcher until immediately prior to use.
  • Do not use where prohibited by law. It is illegal to ignite/fire distress signals in a non-distress situation.
  • These products are not intended to be used as weapons and, if used for any purpose other than emergency marine signaling, may subject users to civil or criminal action including under local firearms laws.
  • Store aerial and handheld flares onboard undercover in a secure, safe, dry place.
  • Read and follow all instructions carefully.

IMPORTANT NOTICE – Orion USCG Approved signals are produced and independently tested to the specifications provided by the Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) 46, Part 160. Signal performance, however, can be negatively impacted if such signals are not stored properly. They must be stored undercover in a secure, safe, dry location on your boat and should be removed during long periods of boat storage. All signals and launchers should be inspected at least once annually for damage caused by exposure to moisture or mishandling.

PLEASE NOTE: We are not able to ship Flares to P.O. Boxes, Alaska, Hawaii, or Internationally. Your order will be automatically deleted and refunded. NEVER set up as a trip alarm with Aerial Flares.

Price of Aerial flares

I do not believe that this product meets industry standards for aerial flares. If this unit did meet industry standards, then we could use Industry Flares in it! We can't, so admit it, they don't meet industry standards.

Ed,
I am not sure why you choose to communicate with us through negative reviews. We work directly with the brand Orion, they are the manufacturers of the Aerial flares, they can be also be found in West Marine stores. I apologize you feel this way about our company and products.

We will be reaching out to you so we can help you through email.

Thank you

$10 Each? You Gotta be Kidding!

So you can only use your high priced flares and not even the ones from the boat store. And you want 10 bucks each? That's ridiculous.
These people are going for the gouge!

If you can't make your product able to use standard industry equipment then it would be ridiculous to order ammo for it from you. I bought the unit and a primer adaptor and it works great. I used empty SH Hulls with fresh primers in them (Hi Brass) and it didn't split the hull so was easy to remove. Owners can cut the plastic off down flush with the brass and use that as an adaptor. Punch out primers with a punch and seat new ones with a small section of dowel rod.
$10 each for blanks or flares! $10 to carry primers in a plastic doo dad? You are Nuts! That should be 3 bucks! No ordering four of those! Not even one for that price! Het real. Lol! You guys suck for that.
And you need new commercials, geez.

Hello Ed,
Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the price of our product. Our goal is to provide high-quality, high-performance aerial signals that meet industry standards. We understand your concern and will take it into consideration for future pricing decisions. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We appreciate your support and hope you continue to enjoy our product. Have a great day!
