FithOPs 12 Gauge / 209 Primer Adapter* for the FithOPs 12g Perimeter Trip Alarm

The Fith OPS 209 adapter is designed to use in our Gen3 and Gen4 12 Gauge perimeter trip alarm in lieu of a blank or flash bang. The adapter slides into the grooves on the bottom of the device. We recommend to use a reliable brand like CCI Shotshell Primers but all 209 primers will work in the device. Once the 12g perimeter trip alarm w/209 adapter is armed, then triggered, it will produce around 124dB with a flash.

Reliable, but might not be loud enough for all situations

I have two Gen4 alarms and use the 209 primer adapters in both of them. As I write this I have them set up to discourage animals from coming onto my deck. This time of year bears are not a problem for me, but I do get raccoons regularly and they tear my bird feeder up. The raccoons do NOT like the 209 primers, so I'm fine with that. I assume in season they would discourage the bears as well. However, the primers are not loud enough to wake me when I'm inside my house. Despite not being quite as loud as I would like, there is a big advantage to the 209 option and that is that primers are fairly easy to find and are not very expensive. This means I can play around testing set ups without a lot of expense. I also have the option for 12 gauge and .22 caliber blanks, but I've yet to find them in any store in my area. For me, I like having the 12 gauge option, but I feel also getting the 209 adapter is a must simply due to cost and availability of blanks.
Quality on any of these FithOps products is top notch by the way. The folks are nice to deal with as well.
